Padar Island
Komodo National Park in the West Nusa Tenggara province of Indonesia
Kin
Padar Island is the kind of place that makes you pause, not just to take a picture, but to breathe in the raw wonder of the world. Rising dramatically from the Flores Sea, this rugged jewel of Komodo National Park feels untouched, almost otherworldly. From its iconic viewpoint, three crescent-shaped bays unfurl like brushstrokes of nature’s masterpiece, each one cradling a beach of a different color: one white, one black, and one tinged with rare pink.

A View Beyond Imagination
What makes Padar so magnetic is its quiet mystery. It doesn’t shout its beauty—it whispers, luring travelers to explore deeper, to chase the horizon, to wonder how such a place could exist in silence for so long. For those who seek not just a destination, but a moment that stays imprinted on the soul, Padar Island is not to be visited—it is to be experienced.

A Unique Adventure
Getting to Padar Island is already part of the adventure. Most journeys begin from Labuan Bajo, a small harbor town on Flores Island, where traditional wooden boats and sleek modern yachts await. From here, you set sail across the deep blue waters of Komodo National Park, about a 2–3 hour boat ride, gliding past scattered emerald islets and dramatic coastlines.

Near to Padar Island, we will find the enchanting Pink Beach, reached in about one hour by traditional wooden boat. This rare wonder gets its soft blush color from crushed red coral mixed with white sand, creating a shoreline that looks almost unreal. The water is crystal-clear, inviting you to dive straight into a vibrant underwater world where colorful corals, tropical fish, and even graceful sea turtles await.
Pink Beach is more than just a spot to swim—it’s a place to linger. You can stretch out on the pastel sands, snorkel right off the shore, or simply marvel at the perfect contrast of pink sand, turquoise sea, and rugged green hills around you. Few places on earth feel as dreamy, making it one of the most unforgettable highlights of a Komodo National Park journey.
